Raxco Software is a Maryland based developer of Windows and OpenVMS software recognized foremost for its consumer and enterprise defragmentation products, chiefly PerfectDisk.
In addition to PerfectDisk defragmentation and optimization software for HDDs, SSDs and virtualization, Raxco expanded to include new consumer computer performance utilities in the summer of 2011: PerfectRegistry, a Windows registry cleaner, and PerfectUpdater, an automatic driver update program.
In 2012, Raxco added PerfectGuard antilogger software, PerfectFileRecovery for deleted file recovery, and RamDisk Plus RAM disk software to its lineup.
PerfectAdmin for advanced remote Windows management launched in early 2013, with a full remote system administration tool, PerfectAdmin Remote Support, and an end-user remote control and helpdesk support tool, PerfectAdmin Remote Control. Raxco plans to launch PerfectStorage for automated thin-provisioned space reclamation in the spring of 2013.
In April 2013, Raxco released PerfectStorage, which automates the recovery of unused free space from physical and virtual thin-provisioned disks using Smart Zero Fillâ„¢ and SCSI UNMAP, replacing labor-intensive command-line tools. PerfectStorage identifies and reports reclaimable space and can be used in production environments.
PolicyLock, released in July 2013, allows system admins to permanently lock down Windows and third-party application settings using the Group Policy Management Console, SCCM, and other management tools.
PerfectDisk business solutions provide performance management for PCs, networks, servers, Microsoft Exchange Server, and virtualization - VMware vSphere and Hyper-V. Past utilities have ranged from backup software to disaster protection for consumers and the corporate sector.
Raxco was founded in 1978. The Chief Executive Officer is Robert Nolan. Industry competitors include Condusiv Technologies, O&O Software, and the free open source JkDefrag.
