Ray Tindle

Sir Ray Tindle CBE (born 1926) is a British newspaper and radio-station entrepreneur. He founded the Tindle Newspaper Group and the Tindle Radio Group.

After wartime service with the Devonshire Regiment, he bought his first title, the Tooting & Balham Gazette with his £250 demob payment.[1]

He was awarded a CBE in the 1987 Birthday Honours and knighted in 1994 for services to the newspaper industry.[1][2]
