Rex Kodippili (Sinhala:රෙක්ස් කොඩිප්පිලි) was a Sri Lankan film actor and film director. Kodippili appeared in 139 films, mostly in the role of the villain. He also produced two films.

Kodippili's father died when he was only 18 months old and together with his two brother he was raised by his mother.[1]

Kodippili was a physical training instructor in the Military Police.[1] He then was employed as a manager at the Marina Café and Hotel at Pettah, before becoming the manager at Salaka, where he became friends with Oswald Jayasinghe.[1] In 1969 whilst he was dropping Jayasinghe off at a film location in Nugegoda, the film's director, K. A. W. Perera, approached him and cast him in the role of a pick-pocket in the film, Kathuru Muwath.[1]
