Richard Burridge, born in 1951 in Rothbury, Northumberland, is a film screenwriter and author. His credits include Absolute Beginners (1986).^[1] With his family he is an owner of several racehorses, including the late Desert Orchid. He has two daughters called Gracie and Mattie Burridge and a wife. They live on a farm and Gracie is now 13 years old and attends Yarm Senior school.
