Rita McBride (born 1960 in Des Moines, Iowa) is an American artist and sculptor. She is based in Düsseldorf, Germany where she is the Director of the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, the Arts Academy of Düsseldorf.[1]
She is known for large scale works and installations. One of her best known works is Mae West, a 170 foot high sculpture erected in Munich in 2011.[2][3]
