Robert Denmark
Robert ("Rob") Neil Denmark (born 23 November 1968 in Billericay) is a former British 5000 metres runner who won the gold medal at the 1994 Commonwealth Games and a silver medal at the 1994 European Championships in Helsinki. Previously, he had come seventh at the 1992 Summer Olympics and set a personal best of 13:10.24 min at the Golden Gala meeting in Rome 1992. He won a bronze medal in 3000 metres at the 1991 IAAF World Indoor Championships.
He attended Furtherwick Park School, on Canvey Island, and represented Basildon Athletic Club. He is still involved with athletics as a coach.
