Roberto Ferreiro (born 25 April 1935 in Argentina) is a former footballer. He played the position of right back and went on to become a successful manager.
Playing career
Club
Ferreiro began his playing career in 1958 with his local club Independiente. He went on to make 241 appearances for the club and won three league championships and two Copa Libertadores titles.
Towards the end of his career he made 55 appearances for River Plate between 1968 and 1970.
International
Ferreiro made a total of 20 appearances for Argentina between 1962 and 1966 and competed at the 1966 Fifa World Cup, and played in the controversial England clash.

Managerial career
After retiring as a player Ferreiro went on to become a manager, taking charge at Independiente in the 1970s. He led the team to a number of championships, including the 1973 Intercontinental Cup[1] and Copa Libertadores 1974.[2]
