Seward Lincoln "Suey" Mains, Sr.[n1][1] was the sixth head football coach for the Doane College Tigers located in Crete, Nebraska and he held that position for two seasons, from 1899 until 1900. His coaching record at Doane was 4 wins, 5 losses, and 0 ties. As of the conclusion of the 2007 season, this ranks him 17th at Doane in total wins and 22nd at Doane in winning percentage (.444).[2] He was born in Danville, Iowa, in 1865.[3] He died in 1934.
