SPB TV AG (formerly named MobiWorld Media) is a provider of end-to-end OTT TV, IP TV and mobile TV solutions for video content delivery to multiscreen devices: mobile, tablet, desktop and TV. The SPB TV mobile TV app – the company’s own OTT TV service – is available across all mobile platforms.

Media Platform

SPB TV Media Platform is a media solution that enables mobile and network operators and content owners to deliver video from a single head-end to multiple mobile and desktop devices, Smart TVs and set-top boxes. The platform features a complete range of codecs and adaptive bitrate technologies to support all screens and networks.[1]

Client Solutions

Client solutions for mobile, tablet, PC, Smart TVs and set-top boxes allow subscribers to access, explore, view and purchase live channels and on-demand content.[2]

Encoder

SPB TV Encoder is an encoding solution for transcoding of live and pre-recorded video streams for multiscreen devices. Can be provided as software or appliance.[3][4]

Streamer

SPB TV Streamer is a solution for live video streaming to multiscreen devices across any networks. Can be provided as software or appliance.[5]

Cooperation with China

Since 2013, SPB TV has been distributing content from China. Xinhua Information agency's CNC World Chinese and CNC English TV channels were first to be launched. In 2015, Dragon TV (SMG media holding channel) was added to the SPB TV application. In 2015, SPB TV signed an agreement with CNTV, Chinese internet-television (CCTV tele-holding’s affiliate)[6] for broadcasting its CCTV-4 (Chinese International), CCTV-9 Documentary, CCTV News, CCTV Français, CCTV Español, CCTV Russian and CCTV Arabian channels. In 2016, the new service SPB TV China[7] was launched, available worldwide on all popular operating systems and via all internet connections.
