Salah El-Din castle

It is actually two castles (Northern and Southern) in Pharaoh's Island in Aqaba, Gulf of Red Sea.[1][2]

It was built by Salah El-din (Saladin) in 1170 AD. The island had another castles before in old Arabic era and in 1116 AD by Baldwin.[2]

The Castles have played a major rule in the crusades, Mamluk and Ottoman eras.[2]
