History
Founded in Stamford, Connecticut in 2003, SalvageData relocated its headquarters to Virginia in 2009.[1][2] The company has multiple receiving and review centers located around North America.[3]
Services
Data recovery
SalvageData works with a wide range of businesses and individual consumers to help them recover lost data from damaged hard drives and other digital devices.[1][4] Damaged hardware can be dropped off or shipped free of charge to any of the company’s 30+ locations for evaluation and recovery review. The company also offers remote evaluations and recovery review services over the Internet in cases where media is logically, but not physically damaged.[3]
In 2012, 2013, and 2014 TopTenReviews awarded SalvageData its Gold award for "best hard drive recovery service" in the industry."[3]
Software
SalvageData provides software products and tools for all digital media storage platforms, servers, mainframes, RAID and SCSI arrays, SAN, NAS, and DAS.[5]
Operations
SalvageData operates in compliance with the quality control standards of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), and also has SOC Type 3 security certification.[3] The company's services are recognized, approved and recommended by numerous hardware manufacturers, including Western Digital[6] and Hewlett-Packard.[7]
