Sanaz Shirazi

Sanaz Shirazi is an eco-luxe company and brand that manufacture products using meat industry natural sources and shearling sheep fur. The company is founded by entrepreneurs Sanaz and Tanaz Shirazi who are the managing director, CEO and the creative director of the brand.[1]

The founders said that their inspiration comes from their Persian aristocratic background, heritage and culture, the Persian poet Hafez Shirazi, a childhood spent in Iran, as well as their upbringing in Northern Europe.[2] Their educational background is from BI Norwegian Business School and University of Leeds with Bachelor’s degrees in International Marketing and Finance and economics and UCLA.[3]

The sisters have stated that their inspiration was their mother's vintage fur coat, bought in the 1970s in India.[4]

The brand has had media coverage and the founder, Sanaz Shirazi has been interviewed, and featured in international publications such as ELLE, Vogue,[5] The British Grazia, Costume, Hello magazine,Sundance Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival for The Hollywood Reporter, Glamour magazine, Le Figaro, L'Officiel,at Berlin International Film Festival, Tatler, GQ, W magazine, Finansavisen, Henne, Verbier Life, GALA, Teen Vogue,Tribeca Film festival for Indie Wire and Variety magazine,Nylon magazine, Love magazine, Harpers Bazaar, Who, What, Wear, InStyle,Self Service Magazine, Vanity Fair, Marie Claire,VICE magazine, Brad Elterman for Purple (magazine), Vogue by Twiggy founder and photographer Barry Lategan,Conde Nast Traveller, The Daily Mail,[6][7] The Sunday Times Style, The Times, The Guardian, The Evening Standard, and The Daily Telegraph.[8]

The daily magazine Dagbladet ranked celebrities wearing the brand at their best dressed list. Major news organizations such as BBC, CEO Middle East, BI Norwegian Business School, Nettavisen, Aftenposten, Dagsavisen, Se og Hør, Kjendis.no, The Business Woman Media, Kish University, Radio Farda, E24 Næringsliv, ParsTimes, PAYAM and Pooshesh magazine have interviewed the founder. Sanaz has been interviewed by Voice of America television, Washington DC. Shirazi was a guest judge in the UK for Manoto TV the Googoosh Music Television, the Persian version of American Idol in London. The broadcast was one of their highest rated episodes. [10]

Sanaz Shirazi has their headquarters in London and Oslo with agents in Switzerland. Their products are stocked at retailers worldwide, including Harvey Nichols, Lorenz Bach in Gstaad, Crans Montana, Verbier and Zermatt in Switzerland,other leading ski resorts worldwide, Colette, Harrods, Høyer in Scandinavia and Tracy Ross in Los Angeles.[11][12]

Collaborations have included The Connaught Square Squirrel Hunt Ball in London for Charity,Television shows at E4,ITV, Show Time and Channel 4, NBCs America's Next Top Model,ABC-American Broadcasting Company, Sony Pictures Television, Sports Illustrated,A list Athletes, Victorias Secret Models, IMG Models,Shop Girl,Billion Dollar Babes New York City and Europe, 10 Corso Como, Bread denim downtown,CR & Aspen.

Shoots have featured talents from RADA, LAMDA, Central School of Speech and Drama, and Lee Strasberg New York City and artists in Malibu & Silverlake Los Angeles, California. Among them performing in Television shows by HBO and FX winning Emmy Awards, The Academy Awards Oscars, Golden Globe Award, and Screen Actors Guild Award. Acting and featured in motion pictures Distributed by DreamWorks Pictures, Warner bros Entertainment, Working Title Films, 20th Century Fox, Paramount Pictures, Universal Pictures and Miramax Films, and starring in plays at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in London.

Campaign shoots have included locations such as Blenheim Palace UK and at Interior Designer Tracy Murdock's Malibu Architectural home designed by renowned architect Frederick Fisher (architect). Shoots for media publications distributed at WH Smith,LACMA Los Angeles County Museum of Art,MOCA Museum of Contemporary Art Los Angeles, MOMA Museum of Modern Art and Tate Modern.

A-listers in the entertainment industry wearing their products include BAFTA and Golden Globe nominee actress Sienna Miller, Golden Globe winner and Academy Awards nominee Kate Hudson[7] model and style icon Kate Moss,super model Elle Macpherson, A-listers at red carpet award ceremonies, Empress Farah Pahlavi and European royalty.[13][14] [15]
