The Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office (SRSO) is the primary law enforcement agency of Santa Rosa County, Florida the town of Gulf Breeze, Florida maintains its own police force[1] SRSO is headed by a sheriff, who serves a four-year term and is elected in a partisan Primary election.[2]

Sheriff
- Current Sheriff: Wendell Hall.
Sheriff Wendell Hall has been leading the SRSO since 2000. He holds a BSc degree in Criminal Justice from Troy State University, before elected, he worked at the Escambia County’s Sheriff’s Office. During his tenure at the Escambia Sheriff’s Office he received special recognition for “Outstanding Service to the Community”, 1984; a Meritorious Service Award. As SRSO Sheriff he received the Elk’s Lodge #2787 “Law Enforcement Officer of the Year”, in 2003-04 & 2006-07 , Florida Council on Crime & Delinquency “Law Enforcement Distinguished Service Award” in 2003 and Santa Rosa County Chamber “Man of the Year” 2010. Chief Deputy
- Current Chief Deputy Sheriff: Bob Johnson.
He has been employed with SRSO since 1993. Currently he is the SWAT Team Commander. During his employment with the agency Bob has been the member of the following units: Major Crimes Detective, Narcotics Supervisor, D.A.R.E School Resource Officer, Juvenile Unit Supervisor, Patrol Corporal, Patrol Sergeant, Evening Shift Watch Commander, Navarre District Commander, Internal Affairs, Administrative Captain, Criminal Investigations Division Commander, Fleet Operations and Public Information Officer. Major Jim Spencer. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Troy State University in Criminal Justice and joined the SRSO in 1986. Major Patricia Killam She started her service in 1989.She holds an Associate in Applied Science Criminal Justice degree.Major Killam has been assigned to :Training, Classification Corporal, Transportation Supervisor, FTO, Public Relations officer for ABC Program, Facility Inspector, Internal Affairs Investigator, Civilian Employees Supervisor, Shift Sergeant, Shift Lieutenant, Transition Coordinator Supervisor, Offender Registration Supervisor, Detention Special Programs Initiative Manager and ACR Division Lieutenant."Command Staff".
