Santokhgarh is a town and a nagar panchayat in Una district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is situated in the PUNJAB region of Indian Subcontinent.
Geography
Santokhgarh is located at 31°22′N 76°19′E / 31.37°N 76.32°E.[1] It has an average elevation of 322 metres (1,056 ft).
People
Local languages are Punjabi and Hindi. The predominant language though spoken is Punjabi. People typically wear kurta pyjamas, pants, shirts, and trousers amongst youngster males and shalwar kameez for women. The population is mix of Hindus and Sikhs, with Sikhs in the minority.
Demographics
As of 2011 India census,[2] Santokhgarh had a population of 8,308. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Santokhgarh has an average literacy rate of 68%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 74%, and female literacy is 62%. In Santokhgarh, 13% of the population is under six years of age.

Temples
Santokhgarh has Shri Baba Nanga Temple. Shri Baba Nanga temple is very famous and Bana Nanga Dramatic Club Ram Leela ( based on Ramayana) is also very famous in area. In Ramleela Mata ki Jankhi on Ashtami is very famous and believe is people's wishes come true whatever they wish during the Jankhi.
Santokhgarh has Temple of Vishvakarman. Vishvakarman temple is very famous and around Diwali more than 50,000 people pay tribute to Load Vishvakarman on Vishvakarman-day in Santokhgarh.
Santokhgarh has temple of Shri Guru Ravidass Mandir is very famous.
Gurudwara sahib
Santokhgarh has two Gurudwara sahib , one is Gurudwara Singh Sabha Santokhgarh is very famous and popular .It is situated in main bajar. and another one is Gurudwara Shahida Singha Da , it is also famous. it situated near new bus stand. Both Gurudwara sahib & peoples of santokhgarh celebrate gurupurv's .
