Sappukei is a 2000 released album by the Japanese band, Number Girl. This album was produced by Dave Fridmann who is known for producing bands such as The Flaming Lips and frontman, Shutoku Mukai's, subsequent band, Zazen Boys. The album is a departure from their previous releases of lyrics pertaining to sentimentality and adolescent struggles and more towards urban decay, isolation, and modern transcendence of Japanese culture.
