Shevchenkove, Shevchenkove Raion

Shevchenkove (Ukrainian: Шевченкове; Russian: Шевченково) is an urban-type settlement in Ukraine in the Kharkiv Oblast. It started in 1860 as a village named Bulacelovka after the owner of that land, Bulacel. Its population according to the 2001 census was 3148, and is estimated to have gone down to 2978 in the year 2007. The city contains a three-star hotel, the Kharkov.
