"Sinopliosaurus" fusuiensis is a spinosaurid theropod dinosaur from the Early Cretaceous Napan Formation of Guangxi Province, southern China, known only from teeth. The teeth came from an animal similar to Siamosaurus.
Systematics
It was originally assigned to the plesiosaur Sinopliosaurus, which is known only from limb elements found in the Early Jurassic.[1] A 2008 paper by Eric Buffetaut and the Thai geologist Varavudh Suteethorn found "S." fusuiensis to be the first unequivocal record of Spinosauridae from Asia.[2]
