Smyths Toys Superstores is an Irish chain provider of children's toys and entertainment products with over 100 stores throughout Ireland and the UK.
The company is run by four brothers,[1] operates over 100 stores in total: nineteen stores in the Republic of Ireland, five in Northern Ireland and a further ninety-six in England, Scotland and Wales.[1] It was founded in Claremorris, and is that country's largest toy retailer.[2] claiming to have 60% of the €320M market.[1] Ten years earlier, the company had four stores and sales of €20 million.
The Globe Retail Park in Naas, Ireland was subject to a fire on 27 July 2016 that destroyed of one of the store's stockrooms, causing the store to temporarily close, with operations being moved until repairs could be made.[3][4]
