Space Coast Crew (SCC) is a youth rowing club established during the summer of 1996. It draws rowers in grades 9 through 12 from local schools. Their boathouse is located at Oars and Paddles park in Indian Harbor Beach, Florida. They row on the Banana River between the Eau Gallie and Pineda Causeways. SCC is part of the Florida State Rowing Association.
History
Satellite High School Crew formed in the 1989-1990 school year and Eau Gallie High School Crew formed in the 1993-1994 school year. Eau Gallie and Satellite teams combined to form Space Coast Crew in the 1996-1997 school year. Melbourne Central Catholic High School students joined SCC in the 1997-1998 school year. West Shore students joined in the 1998-1999 school year. Florida Air Academy and Palm Bay High School students joined in the 2001-2002 school year. The Holy Trinity Academy students joined in the 2002-2003 school year. Cocoa Beach High School students joined in the 2003-2004 school year. In the 2006-2007 school year Viera High School sent students to join as rowers.
