Spinomantis peraccae is a species of frog in the Mantellid subfamily Mantellinae, endemic to Madagascar. The specific epithet honours Italian herpetologist Mario Giacinto Peracca.
Taxonomy
George Albert Boulenger described this species in 1896 within the genus Rhacophorus.[2] Blommers-Schlösser transferred it to Mantidactylus in 1978.[3] Dubois placed it in the then-subgenus Blommersia in 1992,[4] but it was moved to the then-subgenus Spinomantis by Glaw and Vences in 1994.[5]
Geographic range
It is endemic to Madagascar.
Habitat
Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, and rivers.
Conservation status
It is threatened by habitat loss.
