Call It Spring is a retailer of men’s and women’s shoes, with locations primarily found in shopping malls.
History
Aldo Bensadoun, founder of Aldo Groupe,[1] founded Spring in 1991 under the name Transit,[2][3] with locations primarily in Canada.[4] With the expansion of the chain across the United States, the name of some stores was changed to Transit Spring.[5] By 2008, all the stores were renamed Spring.[4]
During 2010 the company made a major announcement which will lead to it expanding in the American market. Aldo Group and JCPenney announced the launch of the Call It Spring brand which will sell as a shop-in-shops concept in JCPenney stores across the United States.[6] The Call It Spring concept is expected to be in 600 JCPenney stores by the fall of 2011 and JCPenney will be the only department store retailer of the brand in the United States.
