Srinivasapuram Krishnaswamy (Tamil: சீனிவாசபுரம் கிருஷ்ணசாமி) PVSM, AVSM, VM and Bar (b. Chennai Jan 1943) was the 19th Chief of Air Staff (India) from 2001 to 2004. He is an expert on Electronic warfare, and was awarded the Agni Award for Self Reliance in August 1999 for promoting indigenous development in the Indian Armed services. He was commanding the Western Air Command during the Kargil War and was primarily the operational commander responsible for all air operations of the war [1]
