St George and Sutherland Shire Leader
The St George and Sutherland Shire Leader is a Fairfax Media-owned community newspaper distributed in the southern Sydney region. With a readership of 287,000, the Leader is the most-read suburban newspaper in the Sydney Metropolitan Area.[1] The paper is published twice weekly, in two editions to cater for the St George and Sutherland areas.
It was first published in 1960. It was formed as a merger of smaller local newspapers: The Times, The Express, The District and Shire News and The Kingsgrove Riverwood Courier.
The means of determining readership should be stated. The newspaper is thrown onto lawns in front of houses, and requests to cease are ignored. This must bring the claimed circulation and readership into doubt.
