Stratoscale is a software company offering software-defined data center technology, marketed with the term hyper-converged infrastructure and cloud computing capabilities.[1][2][3] Stratoscale combines compute, storage, and networking hardware with no additional third party software.[4][5]
History
Stratoscale was founded in 2013 by Ariel Maislos and Etay Bogner.[6][7][8] Stratoscale is headquartered in Israel[9] with offices throughout North America.[10] Stratoscale announced Stratoscale Symphony, in December 2015, selling through channel partners.[11][12]
Funding
Stratoscale has raised a total of $42 million in funding from Battery Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, Intel Capital, Cisco and SanDisk.[1][13][14][15][16]
Products and services
Stratoscale Symphony is marketed as creating a software-defined data center or hyper-converged infrastructure.[17][18] The software works with all standard x86 based hardware, allowing to build a private cloud with existing IT infrastructure.[19] Stratoscale Symphony is available on subscription basis.[20][21]
The Stratoscale Symphony solution is used for private cloud, DevTest, Big Data, Service Providers, VDI, Robo and Infrastructure Refresh.[22][23][24]
