The Sweden national under-16 football team was the football team that represented Sweden in competitions for under-16 year old players. Sweden made their first European Under-16 Championship appearance in 1985. In 2001 the European Under-16 Championship was changed to be an Under-17 competition, so the Swedish U16 team became defunct and was replaced by the Sweden national under-17 football team.[1]
