The Tâmpa River or Tâmpu River ( Hungarian: Tompa-patak ) is a left tributary of the river Mureș in Romania. It discharges into the Mureș in Simeria. Its name originates from the Hungarian, "tompa" meaning "blunt", so its name means Blunt Creek.
