Vision & Mission
The vision of T.K.M Centenary Public School is to attain the pinnacles of curricular and co-curricular excellence, inculcate values and ideals and uphold social and ecological responsibilities. The school shall relentlessly strive to become the best possible context for realizing its vision by generating an environment of quality, discipline, unity, equality and joy appropriate for producing fine citizens of India and the world.
Founder
Thangal Kunju Musaliar was born into a middle-class family at Kollam on 12 January 1897. In his days, Kerala dominated the cashew export trade and by 1940, he was one of the world's largest employers with over 100,000 people on his payroll. In 1956 Musaliar formed the TKM Educational Trust in Kerala. The Trust established institutions such as TKM Institute of Technology, TKM College of Engineering, TKM College of Arts and Science and TKM Institute of Management.
Musaliar is the author of Man and the World, Practical Philosophy and Law of Nature (1949). India's government honoured him with a postage stamp bearing his portrait. The design of this college was inspired by the Mysore Palace, Karnataka.
Location
The school located in the TKM College campus beside the TKM College of Arts & Science at Karicode, a suburb of the historical coastal city of Kollam, is just six kilometers away from the heart of the city, on the Kollam – Thirumangalay (NH 208). A good network of road & rail makes the city easily accessible. The Thiruvananthapuram International Airport is just 70 km away. The serenity of being close to the city, yet being away from its confines, makes the school an ideal temple of learning.
