TAFE Queensland is the statutory authority parent body for TAFE technical and further education training in the Australian state of Queensland.

Established in 1882, TAFE Queensland is one of Australia's largest education providers with approx 200,000 students enrolled in qualifications and other programs each year across its six regions, nationally and internationally.

On 1 July 2013, the state's TAFE institutes were organised into six regions.[1]

TAFE Queensland Brisbane

TAFE Queensland Brisbane was formed in 2013 by the amalgamation of Southbank Institute of Technology, the Brisbane North Institute of TAFE and the Metropolitan South Institute of TAFE. TAFE Queensland Brisbane has eight campus locations and two smaller training centres located at Browns Plains and Yeerongpilly.

TAFE Queensland Gold Coast

TAFE Queensland Gold Coast was formed from the Gold Coast Institute of TAFE in 2013 and has four campus locations.

TAFE Queensland East Coast

TAFE Queensland East Coast was formed in 2013 and has seven campus locations spread around the Sunshine Coast and Wide Bay–Burnett regions. It was formed by an amalgamation of Sunshine Coast Institute of TAFE and the Wide Bay Institute of TAFE.

TAFE Queensland North

TAFE Queensland North was formed in 2013 by the merger of Barrier Reef Institute of TAFE and Tropical North Queensland TAFE. It services North Queensland and is the largest TAFE region in Queensland with seventeen campus locations in sixteen localities, covering an area of 52'000 kilometres.[2]

TAFE Queensland South West

TAFE Queensland South West was formed in 2013 and has eleven campus locations spread around the outer western suburbs of Brisbane and further out into regional south-west Queensland.

TAFE Queensland SkillsTech

TAFE Queensland SkillsTech (previously known as SkillsTech Australia and Trade and Technician Skills Institute) is the lead TAFE institute in Queensland in the delivery of trade and technician training. It was created in July 2006 as part of the implementation of the Queensland Government's Queensland Skills Plan. SkillsTech Australia delivers training in the areas of automotive, building and construction, electrotechnologies, manufacturing and engineering and sustainable and renewable energies/water. The institute also delivers some programs via TAFE Open Learning (TOL).
