History
The saga of the TRR group of institutions started with the group's establishment of the TRR College of Engineering by Dr.T.Ram Mohan Reddy in 2002 at Patancheru Mandal, Medak district, in the suburbs of Hyderabad. It offers four undergraduate programmes in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronic and Information Technology.

Admission process
Students are admitted into the four branches of Engineering and two Post Graduate under the following categories.

- Non-resident Indian or Management Quota
The government of Andhra Pradesh allows admission of diploma holders into 2nd year under "lateral entry scheme" to the extent of 10% of intake to each of the branches on a supernumerary basis. Training and placement
Jawahar Knowledge Centre, TRR College of Engineering, is a JKC Star Institute, an initiative by IEG (government of Andhra Pradesh) to develop industry-required soft skills amongst engineering students. Other engineering college students also train at TRR College of Engineering under star status.
Purpleleap has integrated into TRR College of Engineering.
R&D cell of ECE Department
The role of the Research & Development Cell is to enhance research and development activities. The cell periodically reviews the research work carried out by the faculty, while emphasizing the importance of industry–institute interaction, and facilitates taking up project and consultancy work.
Technical Fests
The Computer Science and Engineering Department organises a two-day national level technical symposium in the name of TECHNOFIERE every year in February or March. At the end of the second day of fest, a cultural fest is conducted.[1] This is a great technical Festival.
