Take Me to the Truth is the upcoming second studio album by English recording artist Labrinth. Originally due to be released in 2015 but due to several delays, has now been pushed back to an undetermined future release.[1][2] The album was preceded by the release of two singles: "Let It Be" and "Jealous".
Background
The title and release date of Take Me to the Truth were confirmed via Labrinth's official Twitter account in September 2014. Explaining the meaning behind the title of the LP, he told Official Charts Company: "I had some time off music to go out and do normal things. I went on holiday, got the bus, the tube – all the things you don't do when you're promoting and touring. I had to stop being Labrinth for a while. That's why I called the album Take Me to the Truth."[3] The album was scheduled to be released on 26 June 2015 and then 16 October but has now been pushed back to early 2016.[4][5]
It was confirmed that Labrinth will be working with songwriter Bibi Bourelly which he tweeted about on 1 September 2015.[6]
Singles
"Let It Be" was released on 28 September 2014 as the lead single from the album. It peaked at number 11 on the UK Singles Chart and at number one on the UK R&B Chart.
"Jealous" was released on 23 November 2014 as the second single from the album. It peaked at number seven on the UK Singles Chart.
