Teng Zhiqiang (Chinese: 滕志强; born October 26, 1991 in Gaocun, Mayang, Hunan[1]) is a Chinese male Slalom Canoeist.[3] He was the gold medalists at slalom c-1 title in the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games[4], the 2010 Xiasi Asian Championships[5] and the 2013 Guangzhou National Games.[6] At the 2012 Summer Olympics he competed in the C-1 event where he finished in 12th place after being eliminated in the semifinals.[7]
Teng was born in Chetou (车头村), Gaocun (高村镇), Mayang. while he was little child, he became a good swimmer. in 2002, he went to Heyuan Water Sports Center with Sui Hongjun, a famous slalom coach. In 2010, he ranked 1st at slalom c-1 event, Teng became the first person from Mayang who won the gold medalist in Asian Games,[1] also he was the first person who won the gold medalist at slalom events in Asian Games.[3]
