State Route 198 (SR 198) is a relatively short, secondary South–North state highway located in western Tennessee. Although this road runs in a generally East to West direction, The Tennessee Department of Transportation [1] has designated this as South to North Highway. The highway starts at SR 197 in the Diamond Grove community of southeast Madison County. It passes through Beech Bluff at approximately 3.2 miles (5.1 km) north of its southern end. For most of its entire length it is known as the Beech Bluff Road until it nears the city limits of Jackson. It is then designated as East Chester Street until its termination. It ends in Jackson at US Highway 70 (US 70).
