The Essential Vince Gill is a compilation album containing songs by country music artist Vince Gill, released in 1995.[2] It is not strictly a greatest hits album; while it includes his early hits "Oklahoma Borderline" and "Cinderella" and an alternate early version of his #3 "Never Knew Lonely", it is strictly a compilation of Gill's 1980's recordings with RCA Nashville. It is part of BMG International's The Essential series of compilation albums. The song "Losing Your Love" was later recorded by former Restless Heart vocalist Larry Stewart on his 1994 solo album Heart Like a Hurricane, where it was released as a single.
