The Florodora Girl is a 1930 American pre-Code drama film directed by Harry Beaumont and written by Ralph Spence, Al Boasberg and Robert E. Hopkins. The film stars Marion Davies, Lawrence Gray, Walter Catlett, and Ilka Chase. The film was released on May 31, 1930, by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.[1][2]
Plot
A chorus girl gets bad advice from her fellow chorines in handling a rich suitor who assumes she is a gold-digger. But she assumes he is after "one thing" and is holding out for marriage. After meeting his mother, she learn that her beau is engaged to a society girl. He loses his money and they drift apart. But after making a new fortune, he comes to the theater.
