The Haunted Castle is a film directed by George Albert Smith in 1897.[1]
Story
The setting was an inn run by ghosts. Wires were used to make objects move on their own, a technique of a nineteenth-century magician.
Production
The film is based on the story The Haunted Hotel by Georges Méliès. George Albert Smith worked on the film as writer, producer, camera man and director. Laura Bayley played one of the lead roles. It was produced and filmed by GAS Films in Brighton.[2]
