The Lexington is an historic apartment building located in Des Moines, Iowa, United States and built in 1906.[2] The building is a five-story brick structure that rises 75 feet (23 m) above the ground.[2] It was individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places on December 12, 1976 and as a contributing property of the Sherman Hill Historic District in 1979.[1]
The building purportedly had paranormal activity involving its elevator.[3]
The Lexington houses one of the oldest operating elevators west of the Mississippi.
The building was renovated between 2012 and 2014.
