The Quest of the Historical Muhammad is a writing authored by Arthur Jeffery. It was inspired by the 1906 German work named Von Reimarus zu Wrede by Albert Schweitzer. In 1910, William Montgomery translated it under the title The Quest of the Historical Jesus. It led to an essay with the same name, written by Francis Edwards Peters. It also references The Quest for the Historical Muhammad by Ibn Warraq.
