The Teenager (Pakistan)
The Teenager is a youth magazine published in Karachi, Pakistan, since August 1969. Headed by Masudah M. Ahmad as its chief editor since its inception, It has frequently been the only English-language media outlet for young people in Pakistan. The magazine is published on a monthly basis.[1]
The Teenager has served as a nursery for journalists, some of whom are now in senior positions around the world. Editors and journalists have included Gul Hameed Bhatti (later editor of Cricketer and The News International, Pakistan, and considered an authority on cricket statistics), Riaz Mansoori (later chief editor and publisher of Women's Own, Cricketer, etc.), Kamal Siddiqi (editor, reporting, for The News International, Pakistan in Karachi), Hasan I. Jafri (bureau chief, Dow Jones Wire Services, Kuala Lumpur), Pervez Nader Shah, Shazia Siddiqi, Saba Shah (VOA's new Urdu TV services), Sabahat I. Ashraf (the blogger known as iFaqeer), and others.
