The Weston Foundation
Not to be confused with The W. Garfield Weston Foundation.
The Weston Foundation is a Chicago-based private charitable trust established in 2007 by Roger L. Weston, former CEO of Greatbanc Inc., and is governed by a small trustee board that designates over 50 grants/yr ranging $500 – $10,000 in size. The Weston Foundation was created with the following mission: "to promote the greatest good, with a particular emphasis on helping children, animal welfare, and the environment."[1]
Long-term projects of The Weston Foundation include:
- The Weston Career Center at Washington University's Olin Business School, which assists business students in pursuing their professional goals.[2]
- The R. L. Weston Wing at the Art Institute of Chicago, housing the Japanese lacquerware collection since 2010.[3]
