Biography
The band began playing covers as The Led Hot Zili Peppers in 2009 to pay for the expenses of their former band, Dean Lickyer.[1][2] When Dean Lickyer disbanded, Royle, Bozzo and Lamothe began writing original music as a trio with Bozzo and Royle sharing vocal duties.[3][4] Since 2012, they have released two critically acclaimed albums and tour frequently.[5][6][7] Despite being an independent band, they have been able to play alongside several notable acts including July Talk, The Sheepdogs, Said The Whale, Monster Truck, Arkells, Hey Rosetta!, Protest the Hero, Ubiquitous Synergy Seeker, David Wilcox, Marianas Trench, Flogging Molly, Matt Mays & El Torpedo, KISS and Bon Jovi.[8] In August 2014, The Zilis toured through the USA for their "Give Me Liberty! Tour".[9][10] They will release their third album once Bozzo earns his Juris Doctor degree.
