Tommy Nelson (mayor)

Thomas A. Nelson, known as Tommy Nelson (born March 23, 1970), is the African-American former mayor of New Roads in Pointe Coupee Parish in South Louisiana.

Biography

In July 2010, he was indicted for violating the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act and forfeiture.[1]

Nelson is incarcerated (No. 05425-095) at the Federal Correctional Institution, Oakdale in Avoyelles Parish. He is scheduled for release on November 5, 2020.[2]
