Thomas Francis Swinford (9 May 1839 – 23 January 1915) was an English cricketer active in first-class cricket in 1874. Born at Margate, Kent, Swinford was a right-handed batsman.
Educated at Blackheath Proprietary School,[1] Swinford's first-class debut came for Kent against Derbyshire, with him making three further appearances in 1874 against Lancashire, Derbyshire, and the Gentlemen of the Marylebone Cricket Club.[2] Swinford scored 89 runs in his four matches,[3] including a score of fifty against Lancashire.[4] He was described in Wisden as a "good batsman and long-stop."[1]
He served as a captain in H. M.'s 98th Regiment (North Staffordshire).[1][5] He died at Polegate, Sussex on 23 January 1915.
