P. Thomas "Tom "Jenkins was born 1959 in Hamilton, Ontario. He is the CEO of OpenText.
He received an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University, an MSci in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto and a BEng & Mgt. in Engineering Physics and Commerce from McMaster University. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering (FCAE).
