Thomas Henry "Tom" Morris (14 September 1884 – 24 March 1918) was an English professional football centre half who appeared in the Football League for Leeds City and Grimsby Town.[1][3] Later in his career, he coached at Scunthorpe & Lindsey United.[4]
Personal life
Morris served as a sergeant in the Lincolnshire Regiment during the First World War and was killed in the Somme sector on 24 March 1918.[5] He is commemorated on the Pozières Memorial.[2]
