Trade Union Sport Palace, or CEC Nagorny, is an indoor sporting arena that is located in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. The seating capacity of the arena is 5,600,[1][2] after the arena's renovation in 2007.
History
Trade Union Sport Palace originally opened in 1965, and was expanded and renovated in 2007. The arena has been used as the home arena of the Russian ice hockey team Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod, of the Kontinental Hockey League. The arena replaced Konovalenko Sports Palace as the home of the club. The arena has also been used as the home arena of the Russian basketball team BC Nizhny Novgorod, of the VTB United League.
