The band consists of cousins, Stephen Mark Sarro (ex-Tantrum of the Muse) and Travis Turner (ex-Aletheian, Solamors), who also own their own podcast titled, As the Story Grows. As well as Seth Luzier (ex-Tantrum of the Muse), Thom Lambert (ex-Good Clean Fun), Brian Denny, and Josh Kale. Their debut album, A Human Comedy debut No. 10 on Seth Werkheiser's Top 10 of 2014.[6]
History
UnTeachers started in 2006, but didn't really progress until 2012. The band started with Brainchild/Founder Stephen Sarro. In 2011, he put together an official line-up, consisting of Bassist Brian Denny, Drummer Thom Lambert, and Keyboardist Seth Luzier. The band recorded their debut EP, titled Untantrum, cleaverly named after Sarro's and Luzier's band, Tantrum of the Muse. Lambert left soon after this release and was replaced by Sarro's cousin Travis Turner, who played drums for Aletheian, Solamors, and multiple other bands. The band did a split 7" with Grace & Thieves, which was released via Veritas Vinyl, in 2012. Denny and Luzier left the band soon after that release. Bassist Josh Kale came into the band to replace Denny. In 2014, the band released their debut and highly acclaimed album, A Human Comedy. Sarro is currently working on new music, without Turner and Kale who are no longer involved with the project.[3][7]
