Up at the Villa is a 2000 British film directed by Philip Haas, based on the 1941 novella Up at the Villa by W. Somerset Maugham.[1] The movie stars Kristin Scott Thomas, Anne Bancroft, James Fox, Derek Jacobi, and Sean Penn.
In the film, subplots were added to expand the material to feature film length, which some reviewers criticised.[2]
