V. Sue Cleveland High School or better known as Cleveland High School, (CHS) is a public senior high school of the Rio Rancho Public Schools. It is located in north-western Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Named after long time Rio Rancho Superintendent and educator of Public Schools, V. Sue Cleveland was established in 2009, due to overcrowding at Rio Rancho High School. Enrollment at the school stands at 2,160[1]
The Mascot of CHS is the Storm, their colors are: Electric blue, Silver and white.
Academics
School grade
The NMPED (New Mexico Public Education department) replaced the "No child left behind act" and AYP testing with a new school grading formula, which took effect for the 2010-11 school years. The grade is calculated using many forms of testing, and includes graduation rates.[2]

Athletics
CHS competes in the New Mexico Activities Association (NMAA), as a class 6A school in District 1. In 2014, the NMAA realigned the state's schools in to six classifications and adjusted district boundaries.[3] In addition to V. Sue Cleveland High School, the schools in District 1-6A include: Cibola High School, Volcano Vista High School, Rio Rancho High School and Santa Fe High School.[4]
V. Sue Cleveland has captured 17 sport related state championships, and 5 state championships in activity related events.
