Vemsoor (Telugu: వేంసూర్) is a village and Mandal in Khammam district of Telangana, India.

Bellamkonda Chandramouli Sastry: He was a Poet, Ashtavadhani, Scholar and a freedom fighter. His literary works : 1. Urdu Kathanikalu(Translated from Urdu to Telugu) 2. Ruthupavanam 3. Sringaaram- Pothana 4. Krishanveni Tharangini. Bellamkonda Chandramouli Sastry was recipient of Rashtra Sahitya Academy Award from Govt of Andhra Pradesh.
Morampudi Venkaiah: He was a freedom fighter and a leader of the Communist Party, fighting for the liberation of the Telangana region of India from the oppressive rule of the Nizam. He was also one of the leaders in the district who fought against the Razakars and the Nizam.
He contested against Jalagam Vegala Rao in 1967 from Vemsoor constituency.
Vemsoor was assembly constituency from 1951 to 1972. In 1967 Jalagam Vengal Rao won assembly elections second time from Vemsoor and in 1968 he became State Home Minister in the state government headed by Kasu Brahmananda Reddy and also he became chief minister from same constituency.
