Victor Tadeusz Sikora (born 11 April 1978 in Deventer, Overijssel) is a Dutch football player who last played for Perth Glory in the Australian A-League.
Biography
Club career
Sikora began his career in 1994 with Netherlands top-flight club Go Ahead Eagles after moving to the Dutch second division for three seasons with Go Ahead Eagles, Sikora returned to the Eredivisie with Vitesse Arnhem, where he spent three successful seasons at Vitesse Arnhem before joining Dutch giants Ajax.
In his time at Ajax, Sikora scored seven Eredivisie goals, won two league titles (2002, 2004) and added the Dutch Super Cup and KNVB Cup titles in 2002. Sikora also participated in the UEFA Champions League with Ajax before spending three seasons at Eredivisie side NAC Breda.
Sikora briefly played for MLS side FC Dallas before joining Australian club Perth Glory as a guest player for a six-week period and in February 2009 he signed a one-year deal with the Glory to make his move permanent.[1]
Sikora has only played one game in the past two seasons with Perth Glory. Sikora retired after the 2011–12 A-League season.[2]
Sikora currently ply's his trade with Rangers in Monday night A division Indoor Soccer.
International career
Sikora has earned six caps with the Netherlands, with his first appearance coming in a February 2001 friendly against Turkey, and the last in 2002 against the United States.
